I have these 50 lincoln cents, all of them are 1987. Each of them has a stamp on them, just like the one in the link below. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen anything of the like? https://www.theworldreserve.com/images/full/CSLCF_2.jpg
CCMint- Welcome to Coin Talk! These are very common. So common in fact, that the ones I have were all found in change(bank rolls).
The coins were stamped (damaged) by someone outside the Mint. They have no collector value but may be a curiosity piece to some.
Not yet. seen a few with cut out crosses, but none that have been stamped like that one. Just finished another box in fact. gary
Would be fun to collect all 50! Any ideas on where to pick them up or just keep on searching the rolls?
Mine are a little different. The state outline is smaller, and it doesn't have the date the state was established.
Man this is a great idea ! I saw all the coins were 2010, if I had the dies, I could sell some of those 2010 Ds I keep getting. Man, those things are killing my searching. lol There are still a few new rolls in every box and now am seeing more of them in rolls than copper. They released a bazillion of those things.
