Went through $10 of pennies today. Only thing good was 2 wheats in pretty good shape. Set a few aside for viewing under better light since I'm still struggling with identifying double dies... Why can't they all be as drastic as the 1955?

    Must be beginners luck!

    Picked up nine roles today.

    19 40%
1 40% from the tellers tray

Went through one of my boxes from Brinks last night and only got two NIFC. Hope this next box is a bit better.

They always give you the good stuff a couple of times to get you hooked. :)

21 rolls of halves back to the bank today. Had a chat with the teller, who said they need maybe $1K more before they get to send them off; until then, they're counting them every night. I told her I'd try to help them reach their quota, then use another branch as my dump! (She turned out to be a roll-searcher herself, so we had a nice chat. That makes at least three tellers at that branch who search. I'm still not sure how I managed to go 4 for 4 90% one time there.)

Oh, and two rolls of pennies, one CW, one bank-wrapped. 8 copper in the CW, 10 copper, 1 1948 and 1 1993 Canadian in the bank-wrapped. My son enjoys rolls like that -- maybe I'll lay in a few more for Christmas...

Roughly 1 Buffalo in every 8 boxes and better than 1 silver in every two....not bad. But that is a lot of nickel boxes my friend!

My mom decided to embarrass me at the seafood store the other day by making sure I approved before she spent some of her change. The lady at the counter asked why or whatever and we let her know that I collect older coins, and right off the top of the penny pile in the register she pulled out and handed me a nice looking 1940 wheatie! Of course I luckily had a 2010 in my pocket so I gave her that even though she said it was no big deal. Always fun!

    Weekend Report:

I finished my $1000 bag of dimes, and I'm still on a lifelong Merc shutout. However, I did find 4 silver Roosies (2 64, 59, 46), which is about average for me. The cool thing is that I passed 50 total found (I can now say I've found an entire roll in the last year and a half). Dimes have been good to me (see 2009 P dimes), but I've not found a lot a silver comparitively. Here are my Dime stats:

11 boxes searched - 7 silver Roosies found (3 in one CWR box)
    8 bags - 39 Silver Roosies.
6 additional in single rolls, circulation and/or teller trays

Also, I bought a box of halves today: Skunk. However I stopped at another bank and went through the drive through. My son was driving so he asked for the halves for me. The teller said she had none. Then, as we are driving away, she flags us down. We back up and she said, "Why didn't you say it was you, I have one roll." This is a bank that I check every couple weeks, but I do not have an account there. However, apparently, they save all halves for me. :D

I get the halves, and it is a customer wrapped roll with big block letters on the side in red ink, "SILVER"
    :) :D :)
    I open it up and find 18 40%ers and 2 90%ers (64).

I'm gonna be takin some Christmas fudge to that teller!!!!

My last few boxes of halves weren't too exciting so it was a nice surprise last night to have found a '63 Franklin, '64 Kennedy, and 5 40%. Nothing huge but still nice pulling roughly $45 in silver from a box.
