My grandma found a braclet made out of buffalo nickels and was wondering if it would be better to leave it as a bracelet or take them out and have them as coins??? Just thought id ask because i have no idea.
they're most likely dateless or common dates. Might as well keep it as the bracelet. also, they may also be ruined by getting put in the bezel - or however they were placed on the bracelet.
okay thanks, idk what it looks like, my great grandma that died recently was into coins so my grandma has been slowly going through her stuff and found it, hopefully i can see it soon

Typically, once fashioned into jewelry, the coins lose most of their numismatic value. This will, I'm sure be a treasured heirloom. I started to comment on the post above me, but I'm not sure what language it is in.
Ok, off topic, but where are all of "these" folks coming from all of a sudden? Know what I mean? It seems like "they" are suddenly coming out of the woodwork.
It's the silver and gold prices bringing more people into coin collecting...? Maybe it's that the owner's of the site has decided to put more money into google ads? Thats how i found this site, and i've been a collector for 6 years. I was a lurker for a few months then decided to join.
I know what you mean... I figure most are kids out of school for holiday break. They're bored on line and looking for attention before they get their Christmas gifts and go off to play elsewhere or post their new acquisitions in boastful threads before the school term resumes.
Ok there is alot said here a few years back we had lunch with freinds and my husben is a used car sales man and it was in my purse i girl was smaller at the time so i had her in my arms so befor i know it john left and had the car sold.
Don't stoop to their level... Still, though, hilarious! All apologies to BenjyH_2009! We may not start it, but here, we tend to finish it.
I never looked for it online but I really need to know if it is the one I can tell you that three was a flaw with mines if you have a flaw in that one please let me know please it's been years like 5 or 6 it was made for me by those who passed away
There were probably thousands of these made over the years. Coin jewelry is still made today by artisans. To believe the one the OP is asking about may be yours is pretty far fetched. They are everywhere: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Old-1926-Buffalo...58?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item56415bf5a6 http://www.whatonearthcatalog.com/w...uffalo-Nickel-Bracelet_CC1002_ps_cti-1BA.html http://www.coinjewelryetc.com/bracelets7.html http://www.getcoinjewelry.com/buffalo-nickel-bracelet.html
I lost a 1969 S Lincoln Cent...I know it's mine because the obverse is doubled...everything but the mint mark. So if you find my coin, can you please return it to me -LTB
