Is there a trick to cracking open an ANACS and a PCGS slab? Are they just snapped together, or is there some type of adhesive used?
Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

    Not Like This (funny)

They are sonically sealed (welded). There are a TON of videos on YouTube showing exactly how to crack.

I HAD to share this one too. This guy apparently runs www.coincracker.com and has invented a power cracker. :)

Good read! Wish i had the clout to do a 7070 Dansco lol.
I think I'm safe with cracking some $10 MS64 nickels out of slabs. ;)

Bolt cutters at 9 and 3 o'clock work just fine for me.

Don't forget safety goggles to protect your eyes from flying shards of plastic. It's no fun spending the holiday in the ER. :so-sad:

Slice it with the cutting wheel on your dremel roto tool. Or a jigsaw with a medium blade at slow speed.

Somebody told me to freeze it for a couple of days, then tap the edge with a hammer while it's backed by a steel workbench or concrete slab.
