1929- That is my avatar at the moment, but mine is not green on the reverse. That 1955-S is nice.

I had a 1909-S V.B.D. woodie, but had no idea why it was streaky, so i sold it a few months back, wish i could get it back! Might have to see if i can track it down... It was ANACS slabbed at AU-58 i believe.

MAN! I'd love to have an AU-58 slabbed SVDB woody! Ideal bang for the buck coin!

I need to get a good pic of this one.
    It is gorgeous!
Looks like a fine piece of mohagany (sp?) furniture!
It doesn't have the 'streaks' that I see posted here.
I think of this mix of red/brown, almost like wood stain, as wood-tone.

    Do I have wood?

I busted out the Canadian large cents and noticed that I have this one. Is this considered a woody? I read the entire thread but I still can't tell if this is considered one.

I am not sure why you doubt it, but that is a real nice looking woodie.

This is the first I have ever heard of a woody. When I first got the lot of canadian cents, I thought it had something to do with an album or possibly a wiping. There were more like this. Good to know now, thank you! Now it's just another thing I have to keep an eye out for!

My question to all the woodie enthusiests, would you pay a premium for a good woodie?

I would and have (only once), but just about all of them come at a discount.

That what i was thinking any woodies i've seen at auction seem to either be under graded or people assume they are over graded and bid accordingly...

    Woody or Not a Woody?

I received this horrible looking 1973 LMC in change today. I'm curious if the horizontal lines on the obverse are just PMD or if this constitues a woody?
