I just found this penny in my collection the other day and have yet to be able to find anything on it online. Was hoping that maybe someone would know whether its worth keeping or not. If so, any ideas on a value?

My camera stopped working so ill give a description until I get a new one to take a picture of it.

What I have is a 1964 D penny, On the front it has the back of a penny stamped into it but mirrored so the words are backwards this stamp is only on 3/4 of the front of the penny.

I understand my discription is not all that great but any help would be greatly appritiated

    Thank you for your time!!

It is a hammer job or a squeeze. Essentially someone placed two coins together and smashed or squeezed them together. It is a damaged coin and worth one cent (actually slightly more due to the copper content). My opinion is based on your description only. Photos would help.

From your description sounds like someone squeezed two pennies together with a vice...So the design is stamped into the coin, not raised?

I agree with the others. As soon as you said the devices were mirrored I knew it was a squeeze job.
