I was bored.:yawning: This penny has been polished with a rag, thumbed, cleaned with an eraser, put in a mixture of red vinager baking soda and left in a jewlery cleaner for 1 1/2 hours, that by the looks of it, seems to be from the 70's or 80's. The obverse seems to still have a hint of cartwheel, I plan to change that.
LOL 1 I once took an 1884 O Morgan that was badly tarnished and put it in a baking soda.salt water solution in an Aluminum lined jar. Ran a current through it with a battery charger and turned it black ! I mean, it was the blackest silver coin I ever saw ! Cleaned up some when I reversed polarity. It's fun to experiment with the ones that don't have a lot of numismatic value. Way more fun than watching Judge Judy. gary
