Wow, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. The 2011 redbook lists a High Relief 1922 in MATTE PF-65 at 100,000, and that coin isn't anywhere near that. I'd give maybe $70 for it, tops.
eBay is doing some free listing promotions right now. Looks like a disgruntled seller is taking advantage of that to make bogus auctions to clog up the works. That would be my guess. The coin looks cleaned to me. Has an unnatural luster about the surfaces. Knock a few bux off your offer!
Some sellers do this to draw attention to their store... note how he keeps stating: "see my other items". Most of those are very reasonably priced.
The only way I can think of to stop this sort of listing is to expand the Insertion Fees. Right now the top group is "$200.00 or more" and that costs $2.00. If eBay were to expand with the Insertion Fees scale they currently have which is about 1% os the Starting Price, it would have cost that dude $13,000 for that listing. Even 0.1% would have been $1,300. That would surely be enough to stop all this nonsense.
None really, but everyone has little things that annoy them. Like the itch you can't scratch. This would be one of mine.
