I purchased some Stamps from the Postal office one including the Montana Stamp & Quarter set.

Here is my delema, I live in Arizona and my package has gone from:
Shouldn't it be headed my way and not to the other end of the country!?!?

I see what you're saying, but I don't really know what you'd do about that... You might want to wait until one of the others here at CT tune in.

Sounds more like a matter of national security. Better not to question the USPS. Just sit there and take the customer disservice they are serving you.

I was patiently awaiting a piece of overnight Express Mail guaranteed delivery by a specific time/date last week. The piece was 26 hours delaid... It could not be tracked en route and I had to pick up the parcel in person at the local branch when it was finally found. Timing was crucial for this piece that I was in desperate need of for another delivery that I needed to make from the contents of the missing/delaid parcel. The money spent (and now reimburseable due to their delay) was not an issue, but that's all they guarantee, your money back on Express Mail shipments when they fail to deliver on time. Pa-thetic! Did I mention that the USPS cut something like 100k jobs this past year? :rollling:

If you have a tracking number for the parcel call customer service during business hours and work through the automated system until you get a human on the phone to track the piece.

Your the man Krispy I was thinking the same thing...

Hopefully they didn't completely mess my order up. And more importantly hopefully they don't tell me some nonsense like "Were sorry wait to see where it get's delivered and then we will do something about it." I double checked my shipping address as well as my ZIP code on my order and everything is correct.

A little off the beaten path with that one. Definately cause for concern. I'd give give the customer service a ringy dingy. Sounds like that package is pulling a "Wrong way Corrigan"......

The USPS only fly's packages from certain locations. Chances are that your package is being taken to a loation up north and will then be flown to you. I wouldn't worry at all... at least you know where it is. :)

Interesting statement and I would believe it
I have however recieved a package that was ordered on the same day from an ebay member just recently and it was shipped from back east.
    Maybe he lived closer IDK.

Weird method of shipping I presume it increased productivity and my wait time ;)

Actually, all it takes is for some "sorter" to throw the package in the wrong trailer....the one that's doin' "long haul" to the east coast. Hope it gets corrected soon......

USPS has air cargo contracts with FEDEX and UPS for first class, priority and express mail so maybe that had something to do with your package travels.

I used to work there.....don't question things like this !

Why do airlines fly you from NYC to LV via atlanta or charge more to fly 1,000 miles than 2,000 miles ?

So glad the package arrived dear fellow. Sometimes the clumsy baggage handlers do get it right....eventually. :)

    cute story

One time we sent a small parcel from Connecticut to Massachusetts by UPS ground. It would normally take only one day to deliver. Unfortunately, it ended up on a UPS plane to Ontario California in error. Once there, UPS corrected the problem & sent it to Massachusetts. You guessed it, they sent it by ground from California to Mass. That added a week to the transit time. :rollling:
