Holed coins

    Awhile back there was a CT member looking for holed coins, but I can't remember who it was. I got 2 FE cents today with holes if your interested. 1857&1858...

    I wasn't the member but would be interested if someone could tell me what it does to the value of the coin.Obviously its going to lower the value but to what extent if the coin is MS but with a hole

    I always thought it wasn't legal to have holes in coins , something about destruction of property ?

    You might send CaveTroll a PM.

    The CaveTroll has a Dansco 7070 album filled with holed coins. I believe that his rule is that the coin must include a contemporary hole. His 7070 has much more character than my 7070.

    I believe CaveTroll may be looking for a Lafayette Dollar with hole.
