do any of these exist? have they moved the mint mark to a new location? have they dropped the mint mark (1965 style)? i have examined literally thousands of these - not a mint mark on any. here in new orleans we normally get philly coins first, but by now................
Rampart, Welcome to the forums! What do you mean by "they moved the mint mark to a new location"? On the Lincoln Cent it's always been below the date.
Welcome Rampart!! I didn't realize it was your first post! And Jallen, I think he is referring to the 65-67? period when no Lincoln Cents had mint marks.
You must live on the east coast? We only get the Denver coins here 95% of the time. The Philly ones are hard to find here.
thanks guys just a cry of frustration. i go through a handfull of pennies each day and need exactly 1 to get my whitman 1999- book up to date. we get the phillies soon after release, the ds usually start stumbling in a few weeks later. tourism has been down since the oil leak but some "new money" will get here sooner or later.
What he is referring to is the fact that he has looked at thousands of 2010 cents and he hasn't seen a D mint coin yet. So he asked (I assume somewhat tongue in cheek) if they had moved the mintmark to a different location.
I've got the 2010 minted cents (P & D). I'm still waiting for the 2009 nickels and dimes. I wish someone would nickel and dime me to death with them but I guess not. I contemplated paying $1.50 a piece for them at a coin show last weekend. In the end, I was too cheap and decided that I would eventually find some good ones in circulation. Good things come to those who wait; I hope.
