I finished my buffalo nickel set around 1964 after starting in in 1957. Most of the pieces were from circulation or low grade so it wasn't much to look at but I was proud of it.

The first and ONLY set I've ever completed is the business strike Two Cent Pieces from 1864 Small Motto through 1872.
Now I've got five sets. Got carried away I guess.

Four coins to complete my Barber Quarters. Unfortunately three are the 1896-S, 1901-S and 1913-S. Not easy coins.

Just got back from the shop with a beautiful 53-s and finally completed my Franklin set. My first complete set. YAY!!!

I think most people here have the complete set of state quarters.

I am not going to count my state quarters set, because I don't want to.

So my first set is a set of all 12 Federal Reserve bank notes from 1929.

I suppose how I define a set my first one completed would be Ikes, I have some whitman folders full for cents, but I don't have 1909-present complete so I wouldn't consider that set complete. Very close on the kennedy halves though!

I finished the state quarters first, then I moved on to circulated to BU Jeffersons, 1938-2010. Now I am working on a completely BU set of Roosies, 1946-2010. :D

Franklin halves, pretty easy set, no rare dates unless you go to MS65 FBL, no signifcant varities. Silver Roosy dimes are pretty easy even in MS. Jeff nickels are easy too in BU.

Including all 'W' burnished issues and both 08 varieties.

Gathering some of the proofs now. Hope to have a set one day with all uncs/burnished/proofs, including the rev-proof and 95w.
That will be the ultimate complete ASE set.

State quarters program. I know it was easy, but I completed it anyhow!!

It'd be a tossup between UK pennies 1909 - 1970 (EF or better) and UK halfcowns 1909 - 1970 (EF or better).

I have the very nice PCGS ASE Proofs in 69 or 70 apart from 95W and 08 (and I should be getting 4 x 2010 on 19 Nov!)

I only recently completed my first set -- clad Roosevelt dimes. I added the last piece just over a week ago, though now I can look forward to upgrading, and hopefully I can finish the complete set of Roosies soon, though I still have quite a bit of work to do on the silvers.

My first sets were, 38-61 jeffs, and 41-74 lincs. Now I am slowly working on 32-94 dansco washington. I believe I have all the kennedy halves, just haven't found a dansco album for them at the right price yet.

I guess the first set I completed-- that is, filled all the holes in the album-- was Franklin halves, back in the '80s sometime when silver was cheap and I could get most of the dates from junk silver rolls for a couple of bucks each.
