2010 Proof Silver Eagles

Does anyone know anyone at the mint? I would pay a little extra for a 2010 ASE proof with a slight modification. I like a 9 to replace the 1 and then move the 9 to the end. It doesn't sound too difficult to me

I read in another blurp that they were gonna produce 600,000 proof Silver eagles. Don't quote me, just what I recall seeing on other forums. As far as collectible, better order early.

 

It's gonna be first come first serve! This coin could be the next 1995-W ASE! Good luck to all!

 

I don't think there will even close to that low of a mintage on these but there definitely will be a flipping frenzy for a couple of weeks. I already saw a presale on ebay.

 

Just "suscribed" at usmint website to get a couple of em...... not happy about price but i gotta have them!

 

There likely will be a frenzy when these go on sale, but there will be plenty to go around. Hype will be created by the flippers hoping to profit. TC

I've always collected Proof coins because they are beautiful to look at. I subscribed for 4 coins this year and will probably cancel that amount for 2011. I'll decide how many to get later on.

I subscribed at usmint to get 2 ASE Proofs saturday....... today i checked my order and it said 1 unit had been shipped! I wonder if thats a mistake? Thought they werent letting them out untill nov. 19th? Mail didnt even run today(Columbus Day). Must be a mistake?

 

Funny thing about those folks at the mint. They treat "subscriptions" just like "transactions" so your "subscription" is gonna show up just as if you purchased something. It's almost as if they "shipped" your subscription to you.

Sorry old fellow. You'll have to wait untill the 19th of next month just like the rest of us....

Sure they could, just not legally.

Except the Mint never made hologram or enameled ASE's. Those were aftermarket.

 

I will be happy to just purchase the one proof ASE I have purchased every year since 1986. Forty-six dollars is actually not all that bad for a coin I enjoy very much.

 

not necessarily - I had a subscription for 11 proof sets, and they sent it in two packages - charged shipping once - on the 1 proof set invoice actually...

I can't wait to get mine. This is the only "new" coin I've been excited for. I don't have a proof eagle (I have a regular '91 (birth year)) but no proofs. Too bad I can only afford one though.

 

It is the coin of the year. It will increase in value over the Lincoln Chronicle set!

Got an email that they are already backordered. Order is supposed to ship on 11/20/10. Anyone else getting any info? I am not seeing the buzz that I expected for this coin. I'm not sure this one will shoot up like I expected. I was thinking they wouldn't get more than 300k to 400k minted before they cut it off, but now I am not so sure the demand is even there for that much. Thoughts anyone?

 

Just cancelled my subscriptions of the proof SAE. Just put in an order for 1/4 ounce gold proof eagle.
