How to trap girls via numismatics

Ok got some tips from a friend of mine if you want to get girls don't mention coins
because they don't understand it. If your a dealer, take her on a nice date and if she asks
how you make your money, then sit down and explain it. The best thing to do is to keep
quiet about your hobby cause they don't understand a relationship with your collection.

Or just get lucky and find a girl who collects coins... that's what I did

My girlfriend knew I collected before we even started dating. She is very interested and I think I may have gotten her hooked on it. Just maybe......
She said the other day that she thinks they're "cool" and she likes looking for them when she's at work (cashier at the same store I manage at). She loves Mercury dimes (I've gotten her a few) and I got her a Morgan necklace for her birthday. Don't worry, its one of the ones you put it in then screw the outside tight to hold it in so the coin isn't damaged. Unfortunately haven't found a chain to fit it yet. :/

I always just say I'm in "sales" to any one that asks. The only reason I have to say different is when I give out my business card that actualy says Numismatist ,Usually if I'm giving you my card you already know that I have something to do with coins.

Now my wife on the other hand has known me since I was 15 & knew about my affair with shiny things for the past 14 years until we married.

When I was still out dating though I would NEVER mention coins. I never had one girl that would have gotten "it".

 

I'd bet you would have better luck trapping a girl with a large cage and a diamond inside...once they take the bait BAM shut the door! voila!

Sounds par for a female of any age (most women scoff at the idea of coin collecting... but I can think of several notable exceptions) ... plus you should expect... or even want your significant other not to have ALL the same interest as you.

 

Word of advice: stay away from the crazy ones or someday when you make her mad you will come home to her throwing your coins into a pile of your burning clothes lol

Should have added: only use a diamond if she's a smart one, preferably cubic zirconium, incase she's fast

that sucks! no monopoly money! I bought 100 Japanese war notes today, so that can cover it.
And she is crazy in a good way... not throw my collection out crazy. Just pretty and randomly calling me by my nickname.

Any ole' solid gold coin will catch a girls eye, believe me.

 

It doesn't matter to me that my wife isn't really interested in coins. Sometimes when I am talking about coins to her I can tell she is just nodding her head eyes glazed over has no clue what I am saying(or doesn't care). Kinda like I look when she is talking about clothes or makeup or..you get the idea.
Part of a good relationship is knowing when to tune the other one out

 

got it. lack of interest or in her mind: you coin collectors are freakin nuts.
