the new poppy 25 cent piece

i picked up one in change today, i was under the impression it wasnt released till the eve of remembrance day. very very nice for a regular circulated quarter, have a look

yes there was

there was another 25 cent poppy coin also a few yrs ago but it was a single poppy, have some of those as well, i think its pretty nice, after a while the color wears off though so storage is the way to go..

 

That was my question. How well does the color hold up on these coins?

im not sure i guess it depends on how its passed around but i dont think it will fade
on its own i still see some of the ones from 4 or 5 years ago with the poppy in
pretty good shape but there rare to find now as i guess people keep them, as
keep sakes or they totally faded away with use..

i just checked swith the royal canadian mint site and it says there temperarly out of stock on this item http://www.mint.ca/store/product/product_poppy.jsp?itemId=prod990027 id say 75% are on ebay lol or at coin dealers stores lol.. oh well have to wait to order some
