    1882 is the year jessie James was shot in the back, president Garfield's assassin was hung, the 1882 immigration act was passed and finally Thomas Edison started his first electronic power plant in Manhattan new York. 1882 is a very historic year thus i love the historic coin.

    Thank you. There’s the variety, folks. As I suspected, it’s a RPD (repunched date).

    Now if someone could translate the rest of that jargon to English… LOL ;)

    I do know that “PUP” stands for pickup point- the markers that identify this particular variety.
