With $8, I'd cherry pick the highest quality $1, $2, and $5 1896 Educational series notes I could find.

With the other $92, I'd buy all the gold I could lay my hands on.

I would try and spread it around. I would probably go to 1909, pickup 1909 VDBs and 1909 indian heads. I would also pick up the 01s and 03s dimes that I need. I like the idea of getting a few of each different year and also getting the lowest denomination that I can so I get more coins.

Oh yeah, like above I would pick up the educational notes and a porthole (but that would have had to be later)

Was thinking after I did post on this subject, if we did go back in time and did bring back any sort of coin's what would happen as in change anything in the the rem of time, like say we took a 20 dollar gold coin back with us, the person that had it might of save it for any reason and would that change something in the future? It's like looking up on a clear night in the sky and thinking where does outer space end, is there a wall you hit at it's end:headbang: ? Yep, but I don't know if there were collectors and buyer premiums in 1878 for those ? Even so, I would like to have bought all the uncircs I could have.

 

I've wondered about that as well. If you go back and pick up a coin that exists in a collection today, when you bring it from the past to today it can't be in two different places at the same time so it would disappear from the other collection. Would this disappearance be noticed?

 

This is why my choice of 33 Dbl Eagles would work.
I'd grab them at the time in which they were to be melted.

Yes, but where's the money for doing all of this coming from? Maybe from me after buying all those winnig lottery tickets and sharing them with evrery CT'er that wanted one.
