trade dollar weight

    what should the weight range be on us trade dollars?

    Correct weight is 420 grains, just like it says on the coin.

    They were very careful with Trade dollars. They did not use the same tolerance levels, usually 1%, that they did with normal coins.

    420 grains is 27.21564 grams or 0.7874 ounces or 17.502 pennyweights
    (Just in case you don't have a grain scale ...)

    Is that what that thing is used for? No wonder it was taking me so long to feed the cows.
