Again, coins from the 1958 mint sets are very common with fantastic rainbow toning. I would classify this toning as attractive but rather mundane for the date/mm. IMO, there would be very little premium for this coin and usually these sell for less than Numismedia Wholesale. I guess you paid $40 for it.

To show how common 58-D's are with rainbow toning, check out this MS67* that sold on Heritage for Numismedia Retail.

I'd prefer a blash white one to this toning.. the toning on the obv of this one would command a negative premium in my book. Like the reverse, but the obv toning imparts more ugly than the reverse imparts pretty...

You paid $20 bucks for the MS67 dime...that's my guestimate based on what I routinely buy and sell coins like this for with so so toning.

Seriously? There is absolutely no way that coin would sell today for under $150. Im doing a MS67* set right now and Im over 1/4 of the way done. The cheapest coin I got is a 1947D for $154. I think mint sets pump out great looking coins but anybody with experience with cardboard mint sets know that the larger the coin the better the toning, most of the times the dimes have started to form some type of dark toning on them.

Decent Roosevelt.....Price depends on how you acquired it. Ill assume Ebay with adequate photos by the seller. my guess is $38

So one person is within a dollar of price for coin with buyers premium and another is within a dollar of coin cost with tax and shipping. What price do you guys want.

All of my prices are delivered in my hands. If you pay $10 for a coin, what difference does it make if you pay $10 for the coin with free shipping or get a free coin with $10 shipping?

Ok the one you picked. Cost including tax and shipping was $34.89. That coin must have looked familiar Duke:D Anyway Duke the floor is yours.

I feel the same way, but I know some people tend to forget shipping / tax in price they pay for items, figured I would ask what the participants prefer. And if I post again I will use the to my hands price:smile

lol I did not think I would win at all. Just dumb luck I guess...

I'd like LeHigh to post a good Toner for me if he will as I like his pictures and descriptions that go along with them. If not then it's open. But give him a few hours to have a chance.

    It's been 8 hrs so I'll assume it's open.

Let's try this one - purchased 2003 already slabbed by NGC.

I am going to guess its a 64 with a market value of about $100 in 2003. Does that sound about right?
