Im in negotiations for this coin, the seller is a major player in the mercury dime realm. Hoping to wrap things up 2morow! Im doubtful we will be able to agree on a price but wish me luck anyways:nerd:

That's a really nice toning; is it slabbed? I don't know much about toning, so if it's raw I'd be leery of it being artificial... not trying to rain on your parade but I can never seem to tell the difference between AT and NT when it comes to some of these more exuberant examples

  5. Wow, that Merc is on fire. Good luck! TC

Even if this merc is a result of AT......that`s still a nice looking coin.

The highest I'd pay would be $45. PCGS values it at $27, but it is worth more with the toning in my opinion. What is he asking for it?

If the images are accurate, I'd probably figure it at about $250. That said, I'd also expect a wide range of estimated values. ;)

80-110 bucks? I'm not a merc collector, but considering it's a 66 I'd say it's probably worth 60-80 on its own, and maybe a 1.5x kicker for that nice tone. That's just my opinion, I haven't looked up any of the trends, just a glance at the MS65 price listed in the red book. As always, with these insanely unique coins, the prices the seller asks are usually independent of any sensible red book price  . I'm sure he asked at least 150.00

I would guess it's worth around $200-$250 to most toned Merc collectors. I'm not even a toned Merc collector but I might even pay $100-$150 for something looking like that :)

I would also guess that the dealer was asking over $500 for it.

Well, I see that my expectation of a wide range of estimated values quickly came to fruition.;)

    Id pay $250 easy.

I say it would go for $500+

I would probably pay $250 to $300. I can also see someone paying double that just because they had to own it.
I love nice toned coins but there is a point where the price gets crazy and it's best for me to let it go.
