lol you didn't loose your place he's just going on to the next while you two work out the last I think.
Duke is correct. Although I wouldn't say that the design is the best I have ever seen I would have rather had it then the one they went with. Ready for your question.
I was going to say the 1866 Liberty Seated Half but that is wrong due to the 1864 2-cent piece. Then I re-read your post and realized you said currency. Even though that is my focus right now I can't think of any bill before 1935H (silver cert) that I have seen it on. Probably way off but that is what I will go with.
Well if your talking coins it would have been the 2 cent piece but in currency it's FR-261, the $5 Grant.
Oh it was a trick question And no not mine...yet. But I'll have one one day. Maybe a bit better grade or at least a better holder
actually it can be changed whenever they want as long as they get special legislation. "US coin design cannot be changed more than once in 25 years without special legislation by Congress" . but ive made an ass of myself, since i think i never did answer that question right. i based it on this wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Barber_coinage#Origins ,that states that 1892, not 83 was the first year for barber coins. however i have seen images and this wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Head_nickel, which contradicts the first wiki page. i was going to withdraw myself from this contest and let this one trickle down to duke kavanaugh, but see that he has successfully answered another question. so i guess it should go to derekg. for anyone interested though, a loonie is the hidden easter egg in halo 3 snowbound. google will find it.
