    thanks for the Info Hobo.
However i have been moved already. I am Downtown NOLA right now lol. At least I have my internet connection. I went to this Antique Gun/Money shop and noticed their prices were expensive (at least at what i looked at) for example what i recall was an 1878 S Morgan dollar in VF-XF condition for $115.00. Going to do some more searching b/c I dont have a vehicle so I have to walk everywhere.

Man, I hope you checked the satellite internet ? A friend did that and DX'd his phone. Now he makes all his calls with a small laptop and a headset. And the calls are all free (nation wide)

Seasnake, Semper Paratus back to you my friend. Though I am sure the military "now" is not what it was when you were in..not saying that's bad just changing with society I guess. i am actually quite far from Pratt. i am in the heart of NOLA, like I am 3 blocks from Bourbon St. It's not a horrible place, just not for me since I am not one who likes to go out and drink every night.

Gary no need for satellite when my cell phone does the trick and I have free internet through the hotel I am staying in. For those that may think it's great, it's not. No car, microwave or any kitchen appliances so I eat out every day, ALL day and I miss my wife and little guy (without question of course). on top of that you have to deal with the drunks coming in at 2 -4 am making loud chit chat in the hallway when you are trying to sleep b/c you have to get up at 5am to be at work by 6am.

Now I know that sounds pretty negative, though the glass is not half empty as I may make it out to be. A. I traveled for free, B. I am seeing a place that I probably wouldnt have gone to if the military didnt send me, C. I am experiencing how the gov't reacts/responds to disasters D. I still am able to talk to my wife and son every night E.the weather is nice (upper 80s to low 90s), night time is even better (mid 70s) F. I am not over in Iraq (no disrespect for those over or have gone) and G. work w people i dont know which can turn into a friendship, and H. I get to share my memories with :)

CG was very good to me, BM2 in less than 3 years, exec of a 30 man LB station and head boat driver. Member in good standing of the CG combat veterans assoc. Leave a couple of cold beers for me in NO, I might be down that way for the launch of a sentinal class cutter in the future.
