And yes I agree. Looks like a cool blast this weekend maybe. And then we'll see what this system does in the Caribbean. Looks to be one of the hardest to predict, weirdest storms in history.

There may be hope yet! The latest GFS run turns the next system (probably the one y'all will be guessing about) Nicole into a "snowicane" and dumps a couple inches of snow on y'all.

In other news. I am going to go ahead and tell you all that the hurricane forecast is fixing to get very, very complicated which will make for some pretty wild guesses I imagine. I will post a basic discussion on October 1 of what is going on with the weather.

Also, I may throw a couple extra things in the prize........

When you detail the further rules could you indicate at what point you want the guess for strength to be given for, as it is a factor that constantly gets up-graded/down-graded as the system moves across the sea, when it makes landfall or when it skips over an island, calms down then skips back over the water and restrengthens and again when (if) it makes landfall... There are just so many points of strength in the life of single system. Thanx!

The guessed strength needs to be what it will be when it makes its last landfall before becoming non-tropical. In the case of a storm like Anna last year (or the year before), it would be quite complicated (I think it made like 7 US landfalls, final one was a category 1 in south carolina if i remember correctly). I'll detail all of this in the final rules.
