    Sure it's gradeable. It's a FR-2 damaged/corroded.

IMO it is either a ground find, and/or had been sitting in a very shallow puddle of water for a long time, with the obverse facing down. My opinion the latter occurred.

    Y2k,

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I think you're letting your imagination get the best of you. I doubt that any reputable grading service would authenticate it anyway. It's too far gone.

WOW.. thats a one of a kind ultra rare Store Card Token only issued by somebody in 1852 that knew the civil war was going to break out in the next decade or so.. If it were mine, I would buy a lockbox, hire a security guard, get a plane ticket and take it down to PCGS or NGC and do a walk through with the token.. Heck, if its worth a million bucks whats 3-4 grand to get it entombed in a slab?

NOW.. if more of the token was there.. ie not a complete wreck.. Somebody here could help identify it. across the rev. it looks to me like it says. XXX brothers but you have it saying bank.. I believe its brothers simply because of the next verbiage that clearly says clothier under that I believe it says Cloths.. Now, if it is indeed an 1852 it is NOT a civil war token.. simply a store card.. they were used by local merchants to hand out for two reasons. one, they had no coins to use for trade, Two, advertising. Sometimes merchants in the same town would allow people to use other stores in the same town and just swap back and forth.

I must disagree. It says XXXRX(Z?) BROS. CO. CLOTHIERS, CLOTHS, CASSIMERES ( an older variation of Cashmere, meaning most wool cloth used in men's suits). I agree with many others hat it is not a mule, just an Indian head on one side and advertising on the other. 40 years ago they were still available for companies to advertise, but then advertising switched from "word-of-mouth" to mass media. I had a chance then to have some made for myself with address/info on reverse and a 1877 Indianhead ( similar to original, but smaller profile) on the front, but with only 10 friends, I would have had a surplus :) IMO.
