I have over the years collected quite a lot of older coins from all over the world, as well as numerous half dollars, quarters, etc. But, this is by far my most favorite coin. I just don't know anything about it; and the nearest pawn shop that deals with coins is quite a distance away, and they don't have a lot of extensive knowledge with dealing with these types of coins sadly. I've searched the internet but couldn't find anything that matched this particular coin, so I was just wondering if anyone could enlighten me on what type of coin this is, and if it has any monetary value? I don't intend on selling it, because it has sentimental value regardless of the answer. I just like having a little bit of knowledge about coins that I've collected. So any suggestions/answers would be greatly appreciated. Even though I collect some coins and have a general knowledge or histories for the ones I have, I'm far from being a coin expert, so I'm hoping someone can help me out. I know a bit more, and I have to agree that it doesn't look quite right, though I'd like clearer pictures before I really say anything particularly definitive. It's hard to read in those photos, but it looks like the obverse reads "IMP MAXIMIANVS PF AVG," which means that it depicts the Roman emperor Maximian. If we're wrong about this being fake, it would date from sometime between 294 and 305 AD.
maybe its just my eyes but I cant tell either way lol. Do you have a scanner? might try and scan it if you can.

Thanks to everyone who replied, no I don't have a scanner, my apologizes, so this was the best photos that I could take. A little sad that it's most likely a fake, but happy with knowing a little more about it. Who the coin depicts, etc. Again, thank you to all who've taken the time to reply.
I'll see your 99% and raise it to 99.9% fake. I've never seen real ones with a dot border quite like those. The pictures Randy posted are typical. There is another groundrule on fakes: Fuzzy photos are more often trying to hide something so when you see a fuzzy photo, assume the worst.
Well, I took the photos myself, and I'm sorry for the poor picture quality (as I previously stated these were taken on my camera phone as I do not have access to any other uploading method at the moment), but I'm not trying to hide anything. This was a coin my grandfather gave to me, but he didn't know much about it either. So, that's why I posted here. Fake or not, it's still my favorite coin, but it doesn't hurt to have a little back-story.
