I uploaded scans of some of the more interesting pieces in my collection if anyone is interested: EDIT: I decided to put them in this thread because Photobucket sucks.
Sorry about the zoom function on the first post. It's not working. Somehow the forum merged the zoom function with the photobucket link. It won't let me edit the post any longer now that 144 minutes have elapsed. Strange.
That is one sweet collection. I'm not a currency collector but I can sure appreciate it. Thanks for posting and well done!
wow some collection, i have some currency collection but its embarrassing next to this, thanks for sharing are these in some kind of book for your own viewing enjoyment..very cool
So true Lettow! We all started somewhere and I hope a lot more get started before I go to sell my collection!!! LOL FUNKEE: Very nice showing!!! Love the jackass'
I really like the inverted "M" one dollar bill. Still looking for my first inverted M . I have found other types of bills but sold the majority of them.
Thanks guys. I still don't have any educationals, bison, brown backs, or treasury notes yet. I feel like my collection is incomplete until I have those. Unfortunately my financial situation has forced me to stop acquiring. Dean 295, the inverted M is a tough one. There are only 3 known so far, according to Numbers' survey. http://www.uspapermoney.info/survey/invm.html I really got lucky when I spotted it in an eBay listing and scooped it up. I actually sold that note after getting it graded, but I thought it would be nice to include it here for old times' sake. Perhaps you are thinking of the inverted W? This one- http://www.uspapermoney.info/survey/invw.html I have yet to find one of those ironically. But your chances are much better.
Thanks! Here are a couple more interesting notes. I didn't include the repeaters and boring star notes because that would make this thread crash our computers.
This is a fantastic group of quality bills funkee. Just awesome. I was more impressed by each new picture & it's contents more that the lasts. Truly amazing, you should be proud of what you have gathered! Thanks so much for sharing
Thanks everyone for the great comments. One new acquisition up there was the 1995 $ 1 FRN with a courtesy autograph and back-plate error. The plate number on the back is the wrong size for a Fort Worth note. I'm not sure if anyone picked that out. It's in the 4th post. I shall be sending that one in to PMG soon along with the $10 Peoria note that looks Superb Gem.
Love that 1878 $20 U.S. Note! And the rest of your collection most assuredly does not suck. I'm also fascinated by the W/M error note. Hard to believe so few have surfaced.
Agreed, but it's that 188 that's my fancy. P.S. All the pics in this thread make the internetz explode.
