    $100 Hawaii Notes (1896 and 1898)

Their are two different $100 Hawaii Notes 1896 and 1898,The reason being in 1896 the British occupied the Republic of Hawaii ,you can see the Union Jack British Flag under the globe this was the 1896 issued Republic of Hawaii Notes.

In 1898 the US occupied the Hawaiian Islands ,you can see that the Stars and Strips the US Flag under the globe this was the 1898 issued Hawaiian Islands Notes.
The ABNCO printed the notes for both the 1896 series and the 1898 series.

Great cards. The notes are beauties and the Souvenir Cards are just as beautiful on their own.

That $20 Hawaii is a hoot! Technicolor, classical figures and a freaked out looking horse giving us the stink-eye*!

*btw, 'stink-eye' is apparently Hawaiian Pidgin slang

The vignettes on these notes are terrific. I especially like the views of the workers preparing the crops.

The Hawaiian Islands (US) & The Republic of Hawaii (British) notes are so expensive & rare ,this is the only way I could possable have an engraving from original ABNCo dies.
I'm glad you also like them as much as I do. I have a few more to post.
