Question The Coin Vault on TV

I'm sure some of you have watched with amazement The Coin Vault on TV. I watch time to time but would never purchase anything from them. Has anyone noticed their sales pitch always starts with something like this: 1 roll (50 count) of uncirculated roosevelt dimes mostly 1962-1963. Coin for coin in the LNC (leading numismatic catalog) is $15.92 per coin for a total of $796.00. But, if we cut that in half that would be $398.00 and would sell every roll in stock But, since we bought these "RIGHT" we are going to cut that price in half for a deal you can't pass up for $199.00! Now my question is, not who in there right mind would pay $199.00 for 50 silver dimes from 1964. But what publication on this planet is the aforementioned LNC or "Leading Numismatic Catalog" that they use as part of there outrageous sales pitch. Does anyone know of what catalog they could be talking about or is this just fabricated.

I have only been in the hobby about 5 years and there is just such a vast amount of info to try and learn. However, having an honest knowledgable dealer who will take the time to educate you is priceless. The TV networks are not interested in educating you about the hobby. They just want your money. I mean come on, certifying common silver eagles at MS70 and they are actually getting serious premiums on a bullion coin.

I love turning the tv to the Coin Vault, hitting the mute button, then working on projects while the pictures of the coins go by.

I wouldn't actually buy from them, but it's good "tv screen saver"

IIRC the Leading Numismatic Catalog that they use is Littleton.

Did you see there newest one?
Buy a folder in a wooden case and get the first 5 presidential coins with it!
    OMG Such a great deal.

Except for the fact that almost every bank is overloaded with brand new rolls of these same presidential coins!
And the used cigar box is a nice touch lol

The thing they forget to mention is the price they quote is probably for ms 65 or 66 coins. Not from average coins in their rolls. Just a theory. They are kind of fun to watch and laugh at though.

It can't be Littleton, the most they want for any 62-64 dime is $11.75, and that is for Proofs!

I do put on the TV coin shows from time to time, but mainly to see the pictures.

The leading Numismatic Pub. could be anything but anytime you start to see and hear snakes slithering around I am always very careful were I tread!
