Well good morning everyone, it's 2010. Happy New Year!!

What is your New Years Resolution Note for 2010?
    Post it if you will...

While a Big Dream of mine is the Fr.164 in XF-40 or above it is a note that I will save for to obtain this year. It would become the #1 Note in my collection, the pinnacle of all notes that I own in XF..

two to three new large size notes (examples I don't already own) in xf or better. This is easily obtainable ~ so no excuses. :)

Your image didn't show up but I am sure it is another incredible note!

Let's see... I'm going to complete my collection of Thai notes for the 60+ year reign of King Rama IX (with the exception of two or three notes that are almost unattainable -- One is a 500,000 Baht commemorative note with 9,999 printed. The other two are also commemorative notes with a printing of 6,000 - 7,000).

Cambodia, Lao, Viet Nam, and Bhutan are not far behind:

After that, I would like to work on collecting the incredibly beautiful notes from French Indo-China.

I have so many notes I'd like to have in my collection, it's ridiculous. I shop more on the model of "if something shows up that I need, I better grab it" philosophy, though. So there isn't a list of specific notes I can plan to get in 2010.

Good luck to everyone in 2010, I hope you find what you want!

    I have already accomplished mine.

I said I would wake up to clean dishes when I crawled out of bed on Jan 1st so I washed the dishes before I went to bed.

I feel really good about myself now.

    Rickie,

I'm not that knowledgable on notes. Is it just a $50 note from 1880?

Was curious in case I happen to spot one at one of the dealers around here.

  15. I don't really have one, but if pressed for an answer, it would be a $5 North Africa Emergency note. Eventually I want to get all the denominations of the North Aftrica Emergency, I think it was only the 1, 5 and 10? I have not looked through my reference books in a while. I actually know where there is one that I can afford and I am thinking about...it would be the most I've ever spent on a note but it is a nice condition one, perhaps too nice. Not that it's been messed with, just that it would outclass the $1 I have that was brought home from WWII by one of my 4 relatives who served!

Right now my dream note would be a USN (red seal) $100. I could do it but it would probably triple, or more, the most I've ever spent on any numismatic item, face value is double the most I've ever spent.
