hello I have a Kennedy half dollar dated 1964 and a Ben Franklin half dollar dated 1963, what might these two coins be worth?
Hi Sabrina, and welcome to the forum. Unless they are at least About Uncirculated, $2.25-2.30 is more like it. With the bullion price dipping below $7, they only contain about $2.52 worth of silver, and dealers typically buy at a discount from the melt value.
thank you Thanks so much all of you for your help, I am new at this and just got out my few coins last night and started checking them out. I'd like to sell what I have except for my 1941 walking liberty half dollar, it was my grannies.
Around here dealers are still paying 8 times face so that would be $4 each. If they are unc you may get alittle more out of the Franklin.
this website is awsome if people want the melt value http://www.coinflation.com/coins/1948-1963-Silver-Franklin-Half-Dollar-Value.html I wish I had bought my coins in 05 when this thread was started 100% roi in 4 years is sick (sick is a good thing in young people slang for our older frinds)
