Ok, everyone! Welcome to the inaugural investment challenge!

The lists have previously been sent to me so that the strategies would not have benefitted anyone through prior knowledge. Thus avoiding the "Price Is Right" strategy of not being as good as you can be, but rather being just a bit better than anyone else.

I will be the first to post my list in post #2 of this thread.

we will also use these metals as benchmarks:

    Metal Ask Bid

    Gold 1161.40 / 1162.40

    Silver 18.47 / 18.52

    Platinum 1439.00 / 1449.00

and just because someone mentioned it:

    Copper 3.1758 per pound

please limit the posts in this thread to your lists. I have created a discussion thread for people to post their opinions.

    Enjoy, and good luck everyone!!!

    My list is simple:

    1-1900 $1 Lafayette (commemorative) MS-65 Currently priced at $8750

Classic commem's have been a facination of mine for many years. The ASE's in there 'cause I had an extra $50 to spend (something that usually doesn't happen in real life). :D

So I just realized that both my email, and my post in this topic don't fully explain what Large cent I meant. I meant the 1794 head of 1794.
If this post, and that mistake cause me to be disqualified I fully understand.
