trying to find some 2008w 1/4 oz american eagle uncirculated gold coins at e-bay.

 

I have 3 of the 2008w 1/4 oz. Two are perfect strikes worthy of 70 grades. The third is a definite 69, possibly a 70. I plan to keep these a while.

 

I have none in UNC but 4 of these in Proofs.

i was lucky enough to snag a 2008 w AGE 1/4 for $860 on ebay last night! it hurts paying over 2.5x spot, but the rarity is what i was after!

Anyway I have a set of the 2008w uncirculated coins plus an extra 1/4 oz 2008 w. It is tempting to sell one on fleabay for a quick $500 profit but I think in the long run holding onto these is the better idea. I think everyone should own the 2008 w UNC set just because it has 3/4 of the lowest mintages in it. I still want to pick up a 2007 W 1/2 oz too.

2009 bullion is just that, bullion. Look at the 1999 bullion coins, tons of them out there and can usually be had @ or near spot. I don't see any collectors value in them.
