These were taken by Todd (BlueCC photos - same person Charmy uses) here are my original pictures of the quarter: Here are the pro pics, what it really looks like
A gorgeous quarter indeed. I love the deep magenta and orange patina on both sides. Todd's photos really show how important a good coin photo is for toned coins. Now what I want to see is Todd's photo of the Franklin Half that got body bagged for questionable color.
actually, all 4 (both halves and quarters) got bagged. Half: other quarter: I don't have a picture of the other half, but it's blue on the obverse.
It is so disturbing that NGC bagged coins that come so commonly rainbow toned from mint sets. I really don't see why they bagged the quarters at all. I love all of them.
I know right I'm going to try to send in the blue half again, because that one has the best chance of getting graded. If it doesn't, then... well, then I dunno what I'll do. I'd like to get them graded so that maybe I can sell them (the green/red quarter and turquoise half pictured)
WOW! Look at the difference in photos! Todd can take really good ones, that is for sure!!! Very nice coins MagMan!
thanks. And yeah, the difference is amazing. I just need to get myself some lights and I can have a similar set up (I have a stand, compliments of Jack, that will take pics straight down) - but so far I've been kinda lazy.
