Has anyone else noticed that the 1997 halves (both P & D) seem to have a "better strike" than other, even later years? I have had to return amazing looking coins ass I keep on getting more details on the coin. This example I finally had to keep, even though it is "common". It wasn't only all the hair (which I don't see on my uncirculated & proof 76's, or the Y2K's that I pick up), but I also love the toning.
I have the same year and mine is proof like kind of like yours these are my favorite half dollars in the series.
