1941 copper color nickel

    I don't think I have anything, but was just wondering. Sorry for the terribal pics. looks rusty copper color.

    Normal thickness as a Nickel? Normal weight on a Nickel? Devices show near the rim. Environmental issue.
    If the Nickel is thinner, the devices fall over the edge of the rim it is a nickel struck on a Cent planchet.

    From the picture provided, it is pretty much impossible to be certain.

    It is impossible to tell from the picture...but one possibility is it could be a improperly annealed (sintered) planchet.

    Better pics are needed to determine what you have.

    My bet is that your coin is just discolored from being exposed to dirt or chemicals or heat.

    Don't jump into conclusions:rolling: unless you see better pics of the coin it could be a sinthered planchet.

    This is possible, unfortunately the OP picture isn't good enough to make any definitive judgements.

    Who's jumping 'into conclusions' here jc? Sinthered planchet? Don't be a wise guy.
