http://cgi.ebay.com/MICHAEL-JACKSON-..._US_Individual

Seriously? Did they print that right over Kennedy's face or what? Yeh, the guy was a cultural icon, but printing his image on a coin and selling it for profit? uggg

Well it seems the seller sells a lot of garbage and refers to it as collectables.

Expect a LOT more.

I'm not going to start a roll collection or even buy one. If I do, then please kill me.

If this manufacturer had some marketing savy, then they would have issued one for each LP or year of Jackson's life & offered free coin boards for bidiots to fill each hole.

Very best regards,
collect89

As a person I thought Michael Jackson was disgusting!
He had merit as an entertainer though.

Exclamation Wtf? Gross

YES! I agree with you, really bad taste. Hey now that this is made, where's my OJ nickel, John Wayne Gacey Dime, John Wilkes Booth Penny, and my Jeffrey Dahmer Quarter? I can see it now, lets celebrate disgusting people, forget about people that deserve a place in history on our curency, lets give it to the scum of the earth.

I think it's pretty rough you lumping Michael Jackson in with murderers, serial killers and Presidential assassins. He was found not guilty of the charges against him and regardless of how "creepy" he may have seemed thanks to the media's depiction of him (and granted some unusual behavior on his part) the fact is that he made a huge contribution to music across the world and actually put a lot of his time and money into charity organizations to help the poor and needy.

I'm not saying he deserves a coin (certainly not this one) but calling him the scum of the earth is the only really bad taste I see here.

Now if you were talking about a Phil Spector coin being released I could understand...

Wow!! I wouldn't take it that far but I certainly hear what you're saying. MJ was a pervert and sicko just like the others!! The only difference is he was rich and famous prior to becoming a weirdo pervert!!

I wished Michael could rest in peace but that does not look that is going to happen anytime soon. Michael was very talented man who, like many other entertainers , had problems dealing with this lifestyle. I can not even begin to imagine what it is like.

I have a question. Can people just slap a picture of a person on a coin and sell these without permission of that person or the estate?

Those idiots just stick a thin piece of plastic to the Kennedy Half just like they did with the Obama coins.

Don't even look at it or some poor soul will waste his/her money on it. You know the old saying...."a fool and his money are soon parted."

Just more garbage like the OBAMA coins, and I guarantee these will be on TV, can't wait till' HSN has em'!
What everybody needs to understand is this, we can say he was a good entertainer, and he was, well he wasn't just good, HE WAS AMAZING, but as a person, he was trash.
