Q about 2009 P&D Roosevelt dimes.

I notice that they are selling unc 2009 dimes on ebay, but only P's no D's why no D's, and are they as scarce as the sellers say they are?

...I always get unc "D" rolls nickels and dimes by March. Every year I get them (though sometimes I have to ask several times at the bank). This year not a one, and I have gone to many banks many times all around the state (way more than normal). I feel safe in saying that there are no "D" (2009) dimes or nickels in Arizona yet.

The D's have a lower mintage.
D's are harder to come by, but can be found.
Don't pay any kind of premium on these coins.... You should only pay face value, because they are out there. There is no sense in paying $100+ for a roll of P minted dimes with tons minted.
Speaking of minted, here are the mintage numbers, compared to that of 2008's

Dimes:
2008-P 413 Million
2008-D 637.5 Million
2009-P 96.5 Million
2009-D 49.5 Million
2008-P Minus 2009-P=316.5 Million
2008-D Minus 2009-D=588

I do not think that they have been released. Have any shown up on Ebay? There may not be any released for several years (that is a possibility)

I didn't realize these were still hard to come by. I knew there for a while they were and were selling for crazy amounts, but I also heard recently they've bottomed out due to finally circulating. I just got 2 09 D dimes in change at Target yesterday....and it was in AZ. For $50 I'll tell you where

When I wrote this discussion on June 30th, 2009-p dimes were going for $10-$12 on ebay. Today, one week later they are now going for about $2. each..Talk about a fall in price...

...I doubt that there will be any 2009 d's seen this year. It will be an empty spot in the album.

I have been lucky enough to have found a lot of 2009 P dimes. I figured it all out yesterday and my net is over $1900 after fees and postage. Truly a staggering figure and one I never dreamed about. I have one lot of 3 dimes up on ebay now and yes, they are going for about 2 bucks a piece. Still, that is quite a nice profit and I'll sell them the rest of the week as I have 25 or so left.

I have not seen one D on ebay yet and if the poster a couple of posts up really found two of them, put one up on ebay and I'll bet you'll get at least 80 bucks for it. Yep it is crazy. I don't think the Ds have been released yet.....and when they are, I hope they come to Houston.....
