dont believe anyone who says rolls are unsearched... just think how hard it woul be to have a friend buy some rolls, and then report they found 10 SVDB's even when all they found were 40's and 50's? very easy i am afraid!

If there was a realistic chance of finding a 1909-S VDB or a 1922 No D, this person would be searching the rolls because of the profit possibility.

I think I will just stick to what my friend gets me because.
1. I have seen him just dump rolls into a bag without sorting them (may or may not be sorted by the previous person)
2. He lets me dump the bag out so I can get an idea of whats there.

Seriously?
Unsearched bags are rare enough. Unsearched bags on eBay are even more so.
Sweet wheatz: I intend no disrespect, but with all you've posted here about wheat cents, I thought you'd know better.

i wouldnt buy 'unsearched' rolls. i once bought a tube of wheats on ebay... auction said it would have atleast 1 steel penny....was all but 1 steel penny and the copper wheat, was green. will never buy again without seeing the actual coin(s) i'll be paying for, lesson well learned

I sold $1.50 worth of Wheats last year on eBay.....I checked the bidders feedback, and he was one of the big sellers of "Unsearched Wheat Rolls" on eBay.
I guess was also at "war" with another seller (The lot ended up selling for $12.50), seeing that the lot was mostly 30's, 40's and 50's that i've pulled out of circulation over the past few years. And yes, I did mention in my auction that my stuff was searched, save for any Error or Die Varieties.

These rolls on eBay are contrived - we didn't see stuff like this as much until about 3 years ago. Those that have a roll with one Indian on the end I'm sure are contrived or put together. I have never known anyone that found a 09-S VDB in such rolls or for that matter in any bag, box or hoard - it may have happened but I've never heard of it.

I don't intend to buy from any ebayers like this. I have my own trusted suipplier. I had an idea what was going on with this. I just wondered if anyone fell for it.
I think something should be done about these guys and was using him as a way to make a point. But what can be done?

I actually bought from that guy 2 rolls. I figured they were searched and Just wanted to fill some rolls. Every now and then I get into trouble at work for searching for wheats (I end up with 2 dollars in pennies in a few registers and for some reason they get mad) LOL So I bought some I think I only got a few to fill holes in the second half of the wheat section all the rest I already had. The rolls were extremely old looking and nearly falling apart.
Here's what I found.
