!893 5 Cent - Variety??

Just perusing the collection and this one stood out.
Looks like a 3 over 2.
It is not mentioned in my Charlton.
Does anybody know if it is a variety??
Sorry I can't get better pics. Try as hard as I can.
Have a 7 MegPixel camera, but I don't think it likes the macro modes.

Hi,
I took a closer look at your coin, but cannot see enough at the resolution that suggests a 2 under the 3.
Then I looked through Charest's book on Canadian coins and varieties. For 1893, he lists 3 different date types: "narrow date", "normal date", "wide date" and repunching of the 9 in 93: "large 9 over narrow 9". Still, it's hard to say which type is yours by the pic.

I collect overdates/repunched dates and do a lot of diagnostic photos using overlays and different lighting angles. Usually, one cannot see all details from just one lighting angle. Here's an example of two angles, showing the 9 beneath the first 0. It can be a difficult level of detail to achieve, but it's necessary when studying overdates. Good luck!

Thanks a ton for the pictures Kurt!
And good luck on your overdate Farmer!
