1879 - S Morgan opinions?

Ok so I know NPG is an unreliable joke, I've done my research there. They "graded" this coin as an MS66 Prooflike. I bought it because I really thought it looked decent from the auction pics (and at the time was not aware of NPG's bad rap)...

So, I recently joined PCGS Collectors club and have started a set there. Could anyone give me their take on what they think the grade is on this coin and what it might be worth? I want to know if it's worth grading. What grade would you guys put it at?

Thanks here are the pics ....

Reverse of 78', I'm I dont think so it has 7 tail feathers and SAF (Normal Rev). How did they mess that up?

Nice coin but I don't agree with the MS66. The strike is very excellent! I think it is a 63 or 64 though because of the markings near the face of the Liberty. Buy ANA standards, this is a sensitive area.

I don't agree either with NPG on MS66, it's just I am insecure in my grading "technique" thus far and am not sure. It sure looks more radiant than a couple ms63's I have and with less bag marks.

oh and is it truly a "Reverse of 78" looks more like the later reverse than 78 to me.

Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you!

Oh well, I only spent about $75 on it so I don't feel too burned.

I don't think I'll bother sending it off to PCGS just yet.

I think that's a good deal. IMO this coin could go 65 which my book puts at around $150.

I think that is about right! I'd buy that for 75 dollars, especially with that terrific strike. The seller must have agreed with my grading.

Looks nice, maybe 64ish or 65 in my opinion. CoinGrading.com has a nice definition of PL. I didn't copy it as it it a copywrited page.

Look at some of those examples on that link from Heritage that I posted and look at those 63's, 64's and 65's
