In Stock and Reserved?

Just what is the US Mint's definition of "In Stock"? Usually when a company lists an item as "in stock" that means it is available at their distributors and ready to deliver when ordered, right? I have an order at the mint that was placed 3 weeks ago and has been "In Stock and Reserved" and "In Process" for 2 weeks now. What is the normal time span that the mint takes to actually ship an in-stock item?

Three years ago the transition time between "in stock and reserved" and "your order has been shipped" amounted to just a few days. Lately my experience has been exactly the same as yours. The order seems to languish forever at the mint fulfillment center.
