    lincoln commems:

    proof 329,821
    unc 135,793
    total - 464,614

the maiximum for 5 pc proof with four lincolns set is around 34,386 pc.

    Elaine,

I Thought it was 50,000? Did it go down or is because the mint sold too many lincoln commems? Thats not fair if there is only 34,386 of them instead of 50,000. They will sell very quickly.

    34,386 ...very cool.

Sadly, life is not always fair. A fast sell out is good for a jump in secondary market prices. It will be a free real frenzy getting those ...aint collecting fun?

not only that. the mintage might still go up a little bit or stay at 34,386.....

the lincoln four designs cent and the lincoln dollar are not really rare or low mintage. the proof lincoln dollar will have some 365,000 pieces. while the lincoln four designs cent will be more than millions of it. because the clad proof set and the silver proof set contained four lincoln designs cent. i expect cent to reach 2 to 3 millions 95% copper proof.

I would like to see the mint keep it to a bare minimum and extremely low for the s mint again. 100 years ago there was the extremely rare svdb, and I think it would be awesome for them to have another now.

    Lincoln VS. UHR

Hi, i think the total 2009 mintage figures will determine how the UHR coins will be as an investment. With gold coins not being widely available from the mint, the UHR might do very well(Just my opinion). My UHR graded quite low (NGC MS68 early releases). But i plan on keeping it anyway, as i love the coin design. It makes me wonder what the grades are on the raw UHR coins listed on Ebay. Has NGC posted any grading charts yet for the UHR's?

I received my uncirculated Lincoln on Saturday the 4th, and compared with the proof I already I have I think the UNC is actually in better condition. The UNC is in perfect shape, no scratches, dings, pitting or anything. Im debating whether to send it in for grading.

Over the weekend I caught HSN SELLING the 2009 Lincoln commemorative PF70 AND MS70 set for $299.95. Whew, isn't that very high right now? Grading was done by ANACS. these coins can be purchased separately for a little ove $200. How can they get away with this?

the mint might be trying to reduce the 5 pc lincoln set to 30,000 set. so far the proof is not sell out yet.
