I would like to hear opinions from any members who have done this or have considered it and declined. This is not the same as the ANA internship. The various ANA summer courses offered in CO Springs, I believe, qualify for some of the requirements of this diploma. I have taken some of the courses at Summer Seminar (Basic Grading and Counterfeit Detection). I took one of their correspondence programs almost 20 years ago. The course included some good books, videos, & testing. I still use these reference books today. They include subjects like the minting process, errors, counterfeit detection, coin specifications, and grading. Though it is more expensive and time consuming, the in person contact with other collectors and profesionals and immediate in hand feedback while looking at coins and not just images of coins is priceless.
