I had to post this one. It has to have more Blue than any other coin Ive ever seen. In the right light, it shows alot of Purple too. Anyhow, I wanted to post it. Now Does anyone have any thoughts as to Artifical toning, or is natural toning even possible???
Ok so normally I don't 'do' the modern cents but that one is stunning! How much would something like that run?
People pay huge money for coins like this one. I managed to swipe it off ebay for $2 due to some crappy pics. $2 plus another $2 for shipping, Id say I got quite the deal on this one. By the way, Modern you say, LOL. Its pretty early as far as wheats go.
tough call on the color, but I like it. Compared to yours, I paid a fortune for a very similar 1911. I'll post pics tonight if I can find it in the aftershow mess.
Seriously you got an awesome deal! :thumb: I like the look of decently toned coins and that one is seriously unique...ah to have something that nice in the collection
Is that strike as solid as it appears to be? I am not much for toning, but when I think of AT, that is not what comes to mid. The uniformity of the toning strikes me as odd, but I am not sure that is a pro or a con for AT.
its in great shape for a 2 dollar coin, regardless of the toning. BTW - I thought you were short cash? Ruben
Typo I assume, for the sake of accuracy the product is MS70. I would also assume that is why the coin went so cheaply.
I think it's a beautiful coin, regardless if it is AT or NT. Stunning coin IMHO Dan, you did good. :thumb: Phoenix
Snaz, why dont you ever use the make offer option??? After all, I usually accept pretty low offers from friends, as long as its not less than I paid. Anyhow, Ill figure something out to make this up to you. Maybe you would prefer me to send something as a bonus, or maybe you prefer to have a one time only 50% off, whatever you want??? 50% off to you only, one coin or multiple coins. Go for it, have fun.
Dan, I never min d paying full with you. The coins are fair pried, your car broke down. and your an friend. But I might take advantage of that 50 % offer..
My main concern is that the color is too consistent between reverse and obverse. Coin sides usually tone differently because one side is down or in a folder, exception being inside an airtite or 2x2.
