Louis Braille Silver Dollar Commemorative Coin

This coin is going on sale in the spring. What is the interest in it? Will they make a version that will actually go into circulation or is it a once and done kind of thing?

I wonder what the interest is in this coin right now? Any chance it could become another Sacagawea?

Commemorative coins carry a hefty premium so they will not enter circulation through normal channels (e.g., through banks). That is not to say that some unknowing person (e.g., a kid raiding Daddy's collection or a thief) won't spend one at face value.

I'm a modern Commem. collector and I will order both proof and uncirculated versions of this coin. Like Hobo states it is highly unlikely that any of these issues will see circulation. Unlike some of the commemoratives that where issued back in the 20's and 30's. Some of those coins were distributed by banking institutions and did indeed wind up in circulation.

So the Back of the coin says Brl in braille?

1st char = Capitalize
2nd char = b
3rd char = r
4th char = l
