| My apologies for not having 77 Enlarge Crop images on the 1873 IHC coin. I am having difficulty. Based on not having experience or skilled with the computer and images. It appears my post was not received well. The coin I sent IS NOT IDENTICAL to what I received. Based upon the DETAIL MARKINGS on the coin. Please allow the Detail "Enlarge-Crop-Images" speak for themselves! The enlarge Crop Image of each section of the coin is attempting to compared the detail alloy, scratch, markings, rim of coin, unsual numerical digits characteristic also other detail characteristic of the MARKINGS ARE NOT IDENTICAL to each other. I’m trying to point this out to everyone. As my only defense! This is not a scam. I would like you to read the title of the description & comment point out the differences and compare the lighter coin to the darker coin for yourself, to the sections I’ve Enlarge. Past response on other coin forum several viewers state, "same coin" without seeing the Crop Enlarge Image & Sections of the coin! I apologize this is my error! Enlarge Crop Images Sections of lighter & darker coin provided and reveals that the coin IS NOT IDENTICAL. I am just trying to get back my original coin. I’m requesting help from a coin expert with a written description of my coin. The lighter coin sent (vs) darker coin received. Please bare with me in response, I'm slow on the computer. http://photobucket.com/onekram EDITED--Not a good idea to post your email address Thank you for your time and response. onekram

You may feel the pictures depict two different coins but how do you explain the identical markings? The rim at 1:00 on the reverse? The gouge in front of Liberty's neck on the obverse? The hit on the N of CENT? The streaking across the obverse?
It appears that the differences you are seeing are a result of different photographic conditions and lighting.
I agree with others who have said that there is no difference.

I agree with others who have said that there is no difference. | Also, whoever received it may have cleaned it. I received a coin once, did light electrolysis on it to remove corrosion and after I finished, I realized it was a counterfeit and sent it back. The difference being, I took pictures of it before I cleaned it and after I cleaned it and you could still tell it was the same coin because of pit marks being in the same place. It's not much different with this, as far as I can tell and David can tell.
Sorry.

Images are different colors, but the coin is the same regardless.

Please note: This guy has been posting this mess on a number of forums. The concensus is that the coins are the same and for some reason he just doesn't want to hear it.
Mike's advice: Don't respond directly to him.

I am in agreement with everyone else. The nicks on both "coins" are identical, as are the areas of toning. The lighter photos appear to be related to either different lighting, photo enhancement or the coin has been cleaned. Either way, the coin depicted in both sets of photos is the very same coin; 100% certain.

Let me net it out for you.
Dude sent a coin to a dealer.
Dude got back same coin from dealer.
Dude mistakenly thinks dealer switched coins.
Dude has posted story across the internet, and nobody agrees with his mistaken take on things.
All IMHO...Mike
