My Mood: | Coin Talk Thread of the Week Nominations for July 21, 2008 Which post should win this week?
Choose from the topics listed throughout the forums, and vote for your favorite one now. What is Topic Of The Week?
Topic of the Week is a contest that select posts on which we can commit to as a group and then comment on them during the course of the selected week. Any listed topic is eligible for the Topic of the Week selection. What determines a Topic Of The Week?
Topic Of The Week is based on a simple nomination system. Throughout the selected forums, members with adequate permissions can nominate their favorite topic by clicking on the award nomination button below the first post.
The five topics with the most votes during the course of the week are automatically displayed on a nomination thread including a poll feature. At the end of the week, the topics with the most votes are the award winners of the contest.

Beta testing something here guys. Sound like fun?
OK, here's the info.....
In order to participate, what you need to do is find a discussion you want to nominate, and in the first post of that discussion you'll find next to the quote buttons a 'nominate' button (it has a little gold medal). Just click that.
We'll work out more details as we go. Right now I'm thinking of doing it weekly, starting every Monday morning, ending every Sunday night.

Peter:
Excellent, even I could find the image for the nomination!
Very excellent idea.
This place just keep getting better & better.
Of course the chances for my getting a nomination are the same as for Phoenix posting a funny joke.

The button only exists in sections where it makes sense for it to be. For example, it's not in the announcements section, or in any of the buy-sell sections.

Interesting experiment. Just what does the F between the two slashes mean? W is week, M should be month, and ...?
