New Rolled Coins

What is the trick to getting New Rolled Coin at the Banks? Call every bank in the area? I have been especially trying to get some new Kennedy Halves. I have bought from the US Mint but would almost feel like I won the lottery if I could get some "NEW" rolls for face value. I see folks on Ebay selling New Bank Rolls all the time so there has to some method to the madness.

Howdy justminted - Welcome to the Forum !!

Halves & dollars have not been released to the banks for the past 2 years. The only way there was to get them was to buy them from the mint.

As for getting other new coins from the banks - well it's pretty much the luck of the draw. Sometimes banks have them - sometimes they don't. You might have better luck trying your local grocery stores than you will banks.

And don't put too much faith in what sellers say about rolls on ebay - it's pretty much meaningless anyway. Try reading this - Coin Rolls
