BTW - I love the details on the Clad coin. It's quite amazing.

I went ahead and bought a half from the mint (in person at a coinshow out reach). I bought it because it is a darn good looking coin (though it will never be worth much).

 

I'm actually very impressed with this coin. I wish the other new designs were half as good as this. The details are 21st century.

I'm sorry yours was problamatic. I was half expecting a cheap coin because the design was so difficult, but I'm excited by the quality I got and the great workmanship.

i was planning to buy uncircs but even after many months the min has failed to deliver acceptable proofs.

Actually, they look a lot like Jefferson on the current nickel.

Seriously, I'm really amazed at the level of detail in the chicks. This coin could not have been executed when the Morgan dollar was struck.
