Do you guys generally see many toned Eisenhower dollars ever? I pulled out the 1976 3 coin 40% silver proof set that an uncle gave me and noticed that the plastic holder for the Eisenhower was cracked and not airtight, and the coin has a pretty cool blue and purple tone on it. So I'm just curios if Eisenhower dollars are found toned very often.
Very often, no, from time-to-time, yes. The silver issues are found toned more often than the clad issues. Most often, the soure of the toning is albums or envelopes.
I see a lot of hazy blue ones, and a lot of gold toned ones too. I'm sure they're out there but they are a little tougher to come by at least in my opinion.
